Watching College Football in Hermosa

Now that college football has returned, Patch lists some local bars where you can watch the big game.

Saturday marked the first weekend of college football, and sent a number of Hermosa Beach residents and visitors to the local bars to watch.

Now as the season continues, here are Patch’s three favorite places in town where you could watch your favorite team:

First, full disclosure: The editor of Hermosa Beach Patch (me) comes from a family of Michigan Wolverines and is an U-M alumna herself. With that said, is the place to be for Michigan fans on Saturday.

"Two hundred University of Michigan fans gather at Sangria every Saturday now," Michael Santomieri, the bar's manager and a part owner, .

The restaurant also offers a morning menu and mimosas for early games.

Sharkeez

on Pier Plaza has become a safe option for any and all football fans in Hermosa Beach—no matter your team. But don’t be surprised when you see packs of Trojans on game day.

Or, don’t miss out on the local rivalry during USC-UCLA games.

Patch also found out last year that Michigan State, Wisconsin and Notre Dame alumni groups sometimes gather at Sharkeez.

Underground

Naming itself "the best bar in Hermosa Beach since 1982," the Underground Pub and Grill has been known to show NFL, NBA and NHL games—but don’t think it overlooks college football.

While some USC and Ohio State fans have watched games at this local , its 43 TV screens make it convenient for all football fans to catch any game.

We only listed three—do you have more to add to our list? Or where do you watch your favorite team?
