"Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine." ~Anthony J. D'Angelo, The College Blue Book
Here are five things to help get your weekend going in Hermosa Beach:
- Fresh fruit and produce are available at the Hermosa Beach Farmers Market every Friday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. The Market is set up on 11th Street and Valley Drive. Fruits and veggies are sold by certified farmers who grow the products at local farms, according to market sponsor Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce.
- Bring back the horns, please! If you enjoy horns in music, you'll want to catch the Murphy's Law Quartet of trombones quartet for a free concert Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. MLQ plays music by Bach, Debussy, Ewazen and more.
- Nearby Redondo Beach continues its free summer concerts with Justin Hopkins performing Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. Beach chairs are welcome.
- Another ode to things past will take place Sunday when a Woodstock Tribute hits the stage in Manhattan Beach as part of the city's free summer concert series. Concerts are outdoors in Polliwog Park from 5 to 7 p.m.
