Alleged Car Thief Arrested Near Uno Market
Officers were called to the scene at around 1 p.m. to arrest the alleged car thief outside Uno Market on Figueroa Street.

A 15-year-old male was arrested by LAPD Northeast officers near on 6655 N. Figueroa St. on Monday at around 1 p.m. on suspicion of stealing a car.
According to Watch Commander Robert Alaniz, the teen was arrested outside the market after officers tracked down the vehicle.
"The arrest was made outside the store," said Alaniz, who did not know what kind of vehicle was stolen.

According to Alaniz, only the driver of the allegedly stolen vehicle was arrested, while three passengers riding with him were let go.
"The passengers didn't know the car was stolen," Alaniz said.

According to one witness who emailed Patch, nine cop cars were in the area at the time of the arrest.
Employees of the market said they did not see anything happen outside the store.
