‘Donut Friend’ Opens Today
York Boulevard's much-anticipated store rolls out exotic treats.

Unless Mark Trombino, the drummer and music producer turned “Donut Friend,” keeps an eye on such things, it’s almost certainly a coincidence that his shop on York Boulevard opened its doors on the same day as National Cream-Filled Donut Day.
This past Saturday, Sept. 14, Trombino opened Donut Friend, his long-anticipated 5107 York Blvd. store, during the NELArts Second Saturday art walk, according to Eater L.A. No surprise perhaps that people lined up outside the shop for as long as three hours to get a bite of Trombino’s exotic offerings.
Those who missed the yummy treats on Saturday can still take advantage of Donut Friend’s soft opening today, Wednesday, until Saturday, Sept. 21, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Eater L.A. reports.
