Advisory: Ready for More Wind?

Strong winds that have been blowing throughout Tuesday are expected to pick up during the evening.

Northeast Los Angeles residents are advised to batten down the hatches, as strong northerly winds will are expected to blow through San Gabriel Valley's surrounding environs throughout Tuesday evening.

Powerful winds with the potential to cause "all manner of hazards" will blow through Northeast Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Valley throughout Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning, the National Weather Service reports.

A wind advisory will be in effect for the Los Angeles portion of the San Gabriel Mountains from 5 p.m. on Tuesday evening until 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning, with winds between 30-40 miles-per-hour and gusts as powerful as 60 miles-per-hour anticipated.

Conditions are expected to return to normal by Wednesday morning, according to the NWS.
