25-Cent Family Flicks Kicks Off at Chinese 6 Theatres Saturday

The ticket special is part of Grauman's 85th anniversary celebration in Hollywood.

Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, is continuing to offer 25-cent ticket movie screenings with special screenings geared toward family films.

The historic theater recently announced that during the months of July and August "25 Cent Family Flicks" will be shown at the Chinese 6 (the adjacent movie complex) at 10 a.m. on Saturdays. It's all part of their 85th anniversary celebration. The cost of the ticket is a throwback to 1927 when movie tickets were a quarter.

The special screenings means there will be family-friendly elements in the theater. The lights will be left on throughout the film so parents can spot their kid if he or she gets up to wander around. Booster seats will be available. There will be healthy snacks available for purchase. Options include yogurt, granola bars, mini cereal boxes, fruit.  

All adults must be accompanied by a kid and vice versa.
