Academy Awards 2025: Complete List Of Oscar Nominees

The unlikely musical-crime drama "Emilia Pérez," dominated along with "The Brutalist" and "Wicked" with Oscar nods in top categories.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — “Emilia Pérez,” a musical-crime drama about a ruthless cartel leader gone incognito, led the 2025 Oscars field with an impressive 13 total nominations, including nods for Best Picture, Best Director for Jacques Audiard, Best Actress for Karla Sofía Gascón, as well as Best Supporting Actress for Zoe Saldaña. Gascón has now become the first openly trans actress to earn an Oscar nomination.

“The Brutalist,” an epic historical drama about a visionary architect’s life in America post-World War II, followed closely behind with 10 nominations, including nods for Best Picture, Best Director for Brady Corbet, Best Actor for Adrien Brody and Best Supporting Actress for Felicity Jones.

The musical-fantasy film, “Wicked,” also shined with 10 nominations, including nods for Best Picture, Best Actress for Cynthia Erivo and Best Supporting Actress for Ariana Grande.

For this year's Oscar edition, there were 323 feature films deemed eligible to compete, with 207 eligible films vying for the 2025 Best Picture award.

The 2025 Oscar nominations presentation took place Thursday morning as Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang unveiled all 23 categories, ahead of a ceremony on Sunday, March 2 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

The 97th Academy Awards will be telecast coast-to-coast live on ABC at 4 p.m. PT (7 p.m. ET). Comedian Conan O’Brien will host the prestigious award show for the first time.
