Arrest Made In Connection To Fatal Fairfax Shooting Tuesday

Police arrested a 27-year-old man who remains in custody on $3 million bail.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A man has been arrested in connection to Tuesday's fatal drive-by shooting in the Fairfax area. Los Angeles Police Department made the arrest Wednesday, and held the suspect on $3 million bail.

Police were called to a local hospital Tuesday afternoon for a man suffering from gunshot wounds who had been driven to the hospital in a car. According to police, the victim told officers he was driving near North Sierra Bonita and Melrose Avenues around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday "when a vehicle pulled up alongside and (someone inside) fired a shot."

The shooter was in a white SUV with tinted windows and had been seen going west on Melrose, according to police. Investigators searching the area later spotted the car in the 900 block of Westmount Drive, and arrested two people.

The victim's name has not been publicly released, and was only described as a man in his 20s.
