According to federal filings, Ben Savage will run for the seat held by Rep. Adam Schiff, who is rumored to be eying a Senate bid.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Actor Ben Savage of "Boy Meets World" fame is running for California’s 30th Congressional District, according to his campaign filing with the Federal Election Commission Wednesday.
The seat is currently held by Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Burbank, who is widely rumored to be running for U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein's seat though she hasn’t yet said whether she’ll be seeking reelection next year. At 89, she is currently the oldest sitting member of Congress. Already, Rep. Katie Porter D-Irvine has announced plans to run for Feinstein’s seat in 2024. It’s barely been a few months since the General Election, but in California, the game of political musical chairs is well underway.
Schiff has represented his Los Angeles district since 2001 and easily sailed to reelection in 2020 with almost 60 percent of the vote. A Senate bid could leave his seat wide open. the 30th district represents parts of Pasadena, Tujunga, Burbank, Glendale, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Edendale, Park La Brea, Hancock Park, and Echo Park.

Savage, 42, is something of a political newcomer. Last year, he ran for a seat on the West Hollywood City Council but lost his bid. He is the younger brother of actor/director Fred Savage, of “The Wonder Years” fame.
On his West Hollywood City Council campaign website, Savage outlined his priorities and staked a position as a political outsider.

“I have lived in West Hollywood for 18 years and look forward to raising a family in this historic community where diversity and differences are valued and celebrated. I am not part of a political machine. I’m a longtime resident who believes West Hollywood deserves leaders who are more concerned with delivering results than serving interest groups or political ambitions,” he wrote. “Our community is facing serious challenges around public safety, struggling businesses, the cost of housing, and homelessness. We need new leaders with a fresh perspective who are ready to begin tackling these issues.”
