Charity Collecting Blankets for the Homeless in Hollywood

“LOVE is a Warm Blanket” is an annual drive for the homeless beginning in October to January.

We should take a moment from our busy schedules and remember those who do not get to spend the Holiday season surrounded by family, friends and food. Those that do not get to sleep in luxurious beds and those who start the New Year by sleeping in the cold. We can help. Good deeds start with a warm blanket.

Donate a new or used blanket to “LOVE is a Warm Blanket” Drive for the Homeless and help the less fortunate during the winter. Blanket donations are directly handed out to those whom need it the most. Larger blankets and comforters are donated to local shelters. Last year, largerblankets were donated to the Union Rescue Mission, a homeless shelter in Downtown Los Angeles’s skid row.

“LOVE is a Warm Blanket” was founded and launched by Angela Amirkhanian, 27, as a simple act of goodwill in 2012. She welcomes the community, students, local groups and organizations to join forces and spread some love and warmth.
