Grauman's Chinese Theatre to Host Marilyn Monroe Film Festival

The week-long homage to the Hollywood legend begins Friday.

Attention all Marilyn Monroe fans! 

Chinese Theatres and Playboy are teaming up to host a seven-day film festival highlighting the work of the legendary actress.

Sounds like there is the potential for quite a spectacle at on opening night Friday.

Starting at 5 p.m. there will be a Marilyn Monroe look-alike contest in front of Grauman's Chinese Theatre. The first 200 Marilyn Monroes will get into that night's red carpet premiere of Some Like It Hot at 8 p.m.

For the general public, opening night tickets are $10. Tickets for screenings throughout the festival will be $5. Festival passes are $30 and 10 percent of proceeds will go to Hollygrove, Monroe's orphange.

Saturday: No Business Like Show Business

Sunday: How to Marry a Millionare

Monday: The Seven Year Itch

Tuesday: Bus Stop

Wednesday: The Misfits

Thursday: Gentlemen Prefer Blondes
