Hollywood Hills Window Smashing Spree Triggers Police Standoff
A suspect reportedly armed with a pick-axe or sledgehammer holed up overnight inside a Hollywood Hills home.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A man holed up overnight inside a Hollywood Hills home surrendered to police Sunday morning, authorities said.
Police were dispatched at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday regarding an assault with a deadly weapon suspect who barricaded inside a home in the 3200 block of Primera Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Division.
A SWAT team was eventually called in and the suspect was taken into custody at about 3:15 a.m. Sunday.

Police would not confirm media reports that the suspect was smashing the windows of multiple vehicles in the Hollywood Hills with either a pick-axe or sledgehammer.
