Hollywood Power Outage: Over 400 Still Without Power

A faulty underground utility site caused a large outage on Sunday morning.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Much of Hollywood still remains without power, due to a power failure at an underground utility site that started on Sunday morning. As of Tuesday morning, LADWP was unable to provide an estimated time of repair, saying another fault happened when testing to restore power.

LADWP initially expected to finish repairs by 6 a.m. Monday morning, but said the complex nature of the failure added extra delays.

"When testing to restore power, another fault occured at a new location on the circuit, requiring additional repairs," LADWP said. "We regret that restoration didn't occur as expected at 6AM and will share info as we receive it."
