Man Fatally Shot By Police On Hollywood Boulevard
The shooting took place near Hollywood Boulevard and Cherokee Avenue, forcing the street to be blocked off.
HOLLYWOOD, CA โ Police fatally shot a man in Hollywood Thursday morning, Los Angeles Police Department confirmed.
The shooting took place near Hollywood Boulevard and Cherokee Avenue around 11:20 a.m. LAPD said officers were responding to radio calls of a man walking down the street with a gun.
Upon arrival, officers said they saw a white man matching the description and fired shots. The man was struck and later taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A woman was also grazed in the arm by gunfire, and taken to the hospital. Police recovered a replica gun at the scene of the crime. No officers were injured in the shooting.
An investigation was ongoing Thursday afternoon, and no other details were immediately available.

Today around 11:20 Hollywood area officers responded to the 6700 block of Hollywood Blvd. They were responding to several separate radio calls of a man armed with a gun. The comments of the radio call indicated it was a male white armed with a handgun walking on Hollywood Blvd.
