Security Guard Shot In Hollywood
The shooting happened Thursday night near the Metro Red Line station.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — A security guard was hospitalized in unknown condition Thursday evening with injuries he sustained in a shooting in Hollywood.
Officers responded to a reported assault with a deadly weapon/shooting call in the 5400 block of Hollywood Boulevard, near Western Avenue, about 9:30 p.m., where they located the victim, according to Officer Tony Im of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victim was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, Im said.

The wounded man was identified as a security guard, according to KCAL9.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic man, approximately 20 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 150 pounds. He was wearing a white hooded shirt and white shorts and armed with a gun, Im said.

The name of the victim and a motive for the shooting were not disclosed.
A Metro Red Line station near the shooting scene was not affected, KCAL 9 reported.
