But will she ever trust it, given her deep sense of dubiety on simulated human intelligence?
“Hit Man” (Release Date: June 7, 2024)

Inspired by true events, Richard Linklater’s “Hit Man” is an action-crime comedy about a Pecksniffian man (Glen Powell) leading a complete double life. Secretly, he spends his days as a university professor, and his nights as an undercover cop posing as a hitman. Seemingly, everything is going as usual — until he falls for a woman stuck in an abusive marriage.
“Ultraman: Rising” (Release Date: June 14, 2024)

The animated superhero film follows baseball star Ken Sato, who takes on the mantle of Ultraman to save Tokyo from rising monster attacks. The more she digs for the truth, the more she’s convinced that his sudden passing is not an accident. Will she set out on a revenge mission?

Imagine walking in on your mother while she’s having an intimate moment with her lover. That’s the main plot of Richard LaGravenese’s latest directorial effort, the romantic comedy “A Family Affair.” It might sound simplistic on the surface, but underneath it all, there’s more than meets the eye — no pun intended, of course. By the end, Zara (Joey King), her mother Brooke (Nicole Kidman) and her mom’s boyfriend, Chris (Zac Efron), must deal with the complications of love, sex and identity. Yes, it is a hookup that leads to a family affair.

40 years after the original movie brought moviegoers so much laughter and thrills, the fourth installment in the “Beverly Hills Cop” movie franchise arrives this summer with Eddie Murphy reprising his iconic role of Detroit PD detective Axel Foley. This time around, his daughter’s life is threatened, prompting our hero to return to zip 90210.

To reclaim his zest for life, he moves to an isolated cliffside home on the idyllic island of Cyprus. But complications arise when John unexpectedly crosses paths with his ex-girlfriend, Sia (Agni Scott), as if Aphrodite, the goddess of love, had re-ignited an old love affair.

“The Union” (Release Date: Aug. 16, 2024)

In Julian Farino’s action comedy “The Union,” Mark Wahlberg plays Mike, a complacent, happy-go-lucky construction worker in his native New Jersey. Everything is perfect, as it seems, in his simple life — until an old flame, his high school sweetheart, Roxanne (Halle Berry), suddenly shows up. Apparently, Mike’s ex-girlfriend wants to enlist his help to join a top-secret intelligence mission. Before long, Mike and Roxanne jet off to Europe, propelling the duo into the world of spies and cat-and-mouse games. Mike’s life will never be the same — either in the throes of passion or chaos.
