Water Drops Help Snuff Out Hollywood Hills Brush Fire
A brush fire scorched one acre in the Hollywood Hills Sunday, and firefighters took an aggressive approach to stop the blaze.
LOS ANGELES, CA โ It took 55 firefighters 66 minutes to put out an approximately one-acre grass fire burning uphill Sunday in the Hollywood Hills, authorities said.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene in the 2800 block of North Laurel Canyon Boulevard at 12:23 p.m., Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
Firefighters were aided by helicopter water drops and prevented the flames from damaging any nearby homes, Stewart said. No injuries were reported.
