โJurassic World: Fallen Kingdomโ โ Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, directed by J.A. Bayona
The โJurassic Worldโ action-adventure series is back for another round of wonder, adventure and thrills as Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reprise their roles as raptor crusaders.
After the catastrophic events of the first film, Jurassic World has been destroyed and Isla Nublar is overtaken by pre-historic creatures. When a dormant volcano comes back to life, it raises concerns about another cataclysmic disaster that could wipe out all remaining dinosaurs in the island.
In order to save the animals, one mega-rich philanthropist (James Cromwell) embarks on a rescue mission with environmental activist Claire Dearing (Howard) and animal behaviorist Owen Grady (Pratt). How exactly? They will need to transport the dinosaurs to a sanctuary habitat. The expedition holds a special place in Grady's heart as he reunites with his best friend Blue, a velociraptor stranded roaming freely in the wild.
See it. While the script is underwhelming, the movie, overall, has charm, humor and lots of action.

โBoundariesโ โ Vera Farmiga, Christopher Plummer, directed by Shana Feste
In Shana Festeโs dramedy, Christopher Plummer plays Jack, a retiree who has had an estranged relationship with his daughter, Laura (Vera Farmiga). When Jack is ousted from his nursing home for unruly weed-dealing, Laura and her son Henry (Lewis MacDougall) must drive him across the country to live with his other daughter Jojo (Kristen Schaal).
As the road trip unfolds, the dysfunctional family revisits old wounds. But further complications arise as Jack convinces Henry to help him sell off his remaining supply of marijuana along the way.
Skip it. The movie just meanders for too long, trying to dissect too many familial issues. By the end, it simply loses its oomph.
