WeWork to Open Shared Office Space in Hollywood
The New York-based company announces it will open its first Southern California outpost mid-February, reports the L.A. Times.
L.A. Times blog Money & Company reports that New York-based WeWork will open shared office space at 7083 Hollywood Boulevard in the former Stephen J. Cannell building.
WeWork plans to open offices its offices by mid-February, accomodating 350 to 400 entrepreneurs and small-business freelancers, co-founder Adam Neumann told the Times.
The move marks the company's first Southern California outpost in a deal reported to value $15 million.

"The Los Angeles offices will be in a six-story mirrored glass structure near La Brea Avenue that was completed in 1985 and is owned by CIM Group, Hollywood’s largest commercial landlord," reported the Times.
Pricing for the Hollywood office was not mentioned in the article. Comparatively, a monthly plan for space at their building in San Francisco starts at $99 and goes upward for a private 6 person office space starting at $2,850. Membership includes access to a conference room, high-speed Internet, fax and scan machine, and mail handling.

Amenities at buildings can include a recording studio, pool table, Xbox lounge, meditation rooms, bike storage, shared refrigerator and microwaves, private phone booths and discounted Zipcar membership.
