What's New On Netflix: February 2024

HOLLYWOOD, CA — In Netflix land, romance is in February air, and so naturally, the new offerings charm like love at first sight. And rest assured — choices abound for everyone, even for fans who are not necessarily hopeless romantics.

Remember Emma Yarlett’s children’s book about an anxious boy suddenly whisked away on an unforgettable adventure by his newfound friend named Dark? An animated film adaptation of the same title, “Orion and the Dark,” debuts this month on the streaming platform. The movie dazzles with wit and visual thrills sure to entertain kids and adults alike.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and Netflix will celebrate the occasion with the return of its highly popular reality dating series “Love Is Blind” for Season 6 on Feb. 14. The new season welcomes the arrival of singles from Charlotte, North Carolina as they head into the pods to find their love for life.

Looking for a romantic comedy series? “One Day,” starring Ambika Mod and Leo Woodall, is sure to make your heart flutter.

On Feb. 22, a live-action adaptation of Nickelodeon’s fan-favorite animated series, “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” is making a big splash with eight episodes. Netflix’s fantasy series follows a young Avatar named Aang (Gordon Cormier) on his quest to restore balance in the universe.

Race car fans, start your engines! “Formula One,” Netflix’s documentary series about race car driving, returns with Season 6 on Feb. 23. Spanish racing legend Fernando Alonso is all set to cruise into a new street track across the iconic Las Vegas Strip.

In the coming weeks, popular movie gems are also making their way to Netflix land, including 2013’s “The Great Gatsby,” “Money Ball,” “Magic Mike’s Last Dance,” “Pacific Rim,” “Ready Player One” and “Marcel the Shell with Shoes On.”
