What's New On Netflix: January 2023

January 2023 beams brightly in Netflix land as the popular streaming service celebrates the new year with a treasure trove of intriguing and delightful movies and TV shows.

Get excited for a number of highly anticipated original films taking center stage this month, including “The Pale Blue Eye,” a gothic horror mystery based on Louis Bayard’s 2003 bestseller, starring Christian Bale as veteran detective who investigates the mystery surrounding the murder of a West Point Cadet.

Netflix also welcomes the arrival of “Dog Gone,” a family adventure starring Rob Lowe and Johnny Berchtold as a father-son duo racing against time as they search for their beloved dog on the Appalachian Trail.

A bevy of long-awaited TV shows are also coming to the streaming service this January, including the teen-sitcom “That ’90s Show,” a sequel to “That ’70s Show,” featuring the return of the main original cast members, such as Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Wilmer Vaderrama, Topher Grace and Laura Prepon.

Also in store for your streaming pleasure is a slate of Netflix premieres, including the mystery-fantasy series “Lockwood & Co,” as well as the reality show series “Bling Empire: New York.”

And be sure not to miss the return of the period adventure series “Vikings: Valhalla” for Season 2.

Finally, must-stream old movie favorites also abound this month, including “Forest Gump,” “Minority Report,” “Top Gun” and the entire collection of the “Rocky” movie franchise.
