What's New On Netflix March 2025: 'Electric State,' 'Residence' & More

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Curl up with a treasure trove of brand-new original offerings as Netflix ushers in spring’s rapturous return this March.

Looking for a sci-fi adventure film? The blockbuster “The Electric State” is set to premiere on the 20th with a story about one young woman’s (Millie Bobby Brown) resilience to find her long-missing brother. In her quest, she is joined by an inveterate smuggler (Chris Pratt), along with a mysterious toy robot (voiced by Anthony Mackie) in tow.

Have you ever thought of your childhood bucket list? “The Life List” will take you to a wistful journey as 20-something Alex Rose (Sofia Carson) sets out to fulfill a bucket list she wrote in her teen years. What emerges by the end is a concoction of romance, thrills, drama and laughter.

Mystery-thriller fans can also check out the screwball whodunit series “The Residence,” starring Uzo Aduba as a detective tasked to solve a mystery surrounding the death of a White House usher. For sure, sleuthing around the mansion’s 132 rooms is not an easy feat to say the least. Oh! Did we tell you that there are 152 suspects to probe? Well, FBI special agent Edwin Park (Randall Park) could certainly lend a hand to solve the case.

In the coming weeks, a number of popular series are also set to return with new seasons, including Tyler Perry’s drama series “Beauty in Black,” the animated children’s TV series “Hot Wheels Let's Race” and the sports docu-series “Formula 1: Drive to Survive.”

In addition, Netflix also welcomes the much-anticipated release of the animated-musical comedy “Plankton: The Movie,” as well as the long-awaited arrival of the action thriller “Den of Thieves 2: Pantera.”
