What's New On Netflix October 2024: 'Lonely Planet' And More

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Looking forward to that crisp autumn air? Netflix is all set to bring you warmth throughout October with a new treasure trove of delightful originals and timeless movie gems.

Just in time for the spooky season, the streaming platform welcomes the arrival of the Sundance darling “It’s What’s Inside.” The genre-bending comedy horror follows a group of young people suddenly propelled to an existential nightmare during a pre-wedding party. Simply put: The movie is insanely good.

Popular horror classics also abound this month, including “The Birds,” “Halloween,” “It Chapter Two,” “Psycho” and “Psycho II.”

If horror flicks are not your cup of tea, you can check out the crime-drama “Woman of the Hour,” Anna Kendrick's directorial debut based on the real-life story of "The Dating Game" killer in 1970s Los Angeles. Another option is the romance comedy “Lonely Planet,” in which Laura Dern plays a reclusive novelist who is looking for ways to overcome her writer's block. Seemingly, a venture capitalist (Liam Hemsworth) might just have the answers to her debilitating condition.

New seasons of popular original series will also be available for your viewing pleasure, such as “The Diplomat” Season 2, “Heartstopper” Season 3, “Love Is Blind” Season 7 and “Outer Banks” Season 4.

Ali Wong fans, get ready to be dazzled yet again! The famed comedian and actress returns to the stand-up stage for “Single Lady,” a comedy special in which Wong opens up about her dating woes and her quest for love.
