Woman Spends Hours Vandalizing Car While Onlookers Watch

The whole incident was caught on tape.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- Everyone has a bad day when they want to destroy things. One Southland woman apparently had an extremely bad day and did just that. She spent six hours destroying a car while passersby watched in amazement.

The whole incident was caught on tape. The woman, who was homeless, was seen on a nearby building's surveillance video tearing off one of the car's windshield wipers and using it to carve scribbles on the car.

The woman who owns the car had an even worse day when she returned to find her car totaled. Stacy Omelianoff told KCBS she left her black Buick Lucerne parked in front of a friend's apartment in Koreatown before leaving for Chino to celebrate Thanksgiving.

The video shows the woman using a metal pipe to smash the car's doors, hood and roof over a six-hour period. At times she jumped and stomped on the roof.

Passersby stopped to watch, took photos and walked away, Omelianoff told KCBS. She was only notified of the incident after the Los Angeles Angeles Police Department contacted her the next day after they had arrested the woman.
