5 Things: Teen Murder Mystery Night, Tai Chi and Dangerous Rip Currents

5 things Imperial Beach residents should know Tuesday.

1. Break out your monocle, top hat and fancy pants. The San Diego County Library, Imperial Beach branch will host a murder mystery for teens 12-19. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Party starts at 6:30 p.m. Call the library if you have any questions or click here for more information.

2. Free Tai Chi 9-9:30 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday at the Imperial Beach Senior Center. 

3. In weather, temperatures are forecast to stay in the 60s through Friday with winds of 5-10 mph. 

4. You may want to swim near a lifeguard the next few days: a high surf advisory is in effect from early Tuesday to 2 p.m. Wednesday. 

South facing beaches may see waves five to eight feet tall. A beach hazard statement has been issued from 2 p.m. Wednesday to 9 p.m. Thursday. Expect strong rip currents.
