Buying a house is an exciting but often stressful endeavor.
San Diego County Library is teaming up with the Housing Opportunities Collaborative to offer “Keeping the Dream Alive” homebuyer workshops this year. The next workshop is taking place on Wednesday, May 8 at 6 p.m. at the Imperial Beach Branch, 810 Imperial Beach Blvd. Walk-ins are welcome but registration is recommended by emailing RSVP@housingcollaborative.org. Keeping the Dream Alive will include information on: preparing for homeownership, how to prequalify for a loan, managing finances, understanding credit, identifying a home buying team, down payment and closing cost assistance, and HUD-approved counseling services. This workshop is designed to benefit all homebuyers, whether you’re buying your first home, are a repeat buyer, or are buying a home after experiencing a foreclosure.
