β’ Schiff Cosponsors Bill to Restrict Border Patrol Operations to Areas Within 25 Miles of the Mexican Border (sdjewishworld.com) β A new bill from Sen. Adam Schiff would generally limit Border Patrol operations to within 25 miles of the Mexican border, a zone that specifically includes Imperial Beach. Supporters say it would curb interior immigration raids and refocus agents on the border itself, while critics argue the border is already secure. If passed, it could shape how and where Border Patrol operates around South Bay communities.
