Drive-By Shooting on 13th Street; 1 Injured
Sheriff's deputies found the victim at Alberto's Taco Shop, a block away from the 13th Street and Grove Avenue intersection where the drive-by shooting took place.
A man walking near the 13th Street and Grove Avenue intersection late Friday evening was shot in a drive-by shooting, said Sgt. Joel Stranger of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, Imperial Beach substation.
The shooting occurred around 11:15 p.m., Stranger said.
"And then he walked up to the taco shop [Alberto's Taco Shop] there and that's where we found him," he said. "There's no evidence that it's gang-related and at this point we have no motive."
No suspects have been identified.
Deputies were unable to verify the number of shots fired by the vehicle that fled the scene but neighbors near the scene reported hearing as many as seven shots at the time of the incident.
