Man With Alzheimer's Drives Car to Steep Border Hillside

The man was sent home after the incident. No charges were filed.

An elderly man police said has Alzheimer's disease drove his car through the Tijuana River Valley to the top of Spooners Mesa along the U.S.-Mexico border Tuesday, San Diego Reader reported.

Once stranded there along the steep hillside, U.S. Border Patrol agents and San Diego Police Department assisted the man and sent him home with a tow truck driver.

No charges were filed.
