• E-Bicyclist critically injured in crash with vehicle in Imperial Beach (10news.com) — A young e-bike rider is in critical condition after being hit by a car early Saturday at Imperial Beach Boulevard and California Street. Deputies say the driver stayed at the scene, was found under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested on suspicion of DUI. Investigators are asking anyone who saw the crash to contact the Imperial Beach sheriff’s station.
   

• SDPD investigating Sheriff-involved shooting in Imperial Beach (timesofsandiego.com) — A law-enforcement shooting near the Imperial Beach Pier sent one man to the hospital Sunday and prompted deputies to urge people to avoid Evergreen Avenue and Seacoast Drive. Imperial Beach Fire Department paramedics transported the victim, while San Diego police now lead the investigation under a countywide agreement. Officials say there is no ongoing danger to the community.
