Rain May Be on the Way This Week

The National Weather Service is forecasting the first storms of the season.

The first Pacific storms of the season are expected to blow through Southern California this week, with rain possibly reaching Imperial Beach, according to the National Weather Service.

The first storm could bring rain on Tuesday, with a bigger storm coming through late Wednesday. Gusty winds and lower temperatures are possible, with seasonal weather returning Friday.

Sunday night: Patchy fog after 11pm. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 59. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Monday: Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 69. Calm wind becoming west between 10 and 15 mph.

Monday Night: A chance of drizzle after 11pm. Patchy fog after 11pm. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 60. Northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 67. Calm wind becoming west between 10 and 15 mph.

Tuesday Night: A 20 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. West wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Wednesday: A 30 percent chance of rain, mainly after 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 63.

Wednesday Night: Rain likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Thursday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 64.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 54.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 66.
