More than 300 people are expected to compete in the Surf Town Triathlon and Duathlon Sunday, organizers said.
Runners will head toward the Navy's Silver Strand Training Complex South and bicyclists will make a loop around Naval Outlying Landing Field Imperial Beach runways.
To accommodate the event, the following streets will be closed from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday:
- 5th Street
- Imperial Beach Boulevard westbound
- Seacoast Drive
- Carnation Avenue
- A portion of Silver Strand Boulevard
