Wind Advisory Issued For Imperial Beach

West winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph are expected, according to the National Weather Service.

IMPERIAL BEACH, CA — The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for Imperial Beach.

The advisory will be in effect from 8 a.m. to midnight Tuesday for San Diego County's coastal areas and valleys.

West winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph are expected, according to the NWS.

Forecasters advised motorists to use extra caution when driving, especially if operating high-profile vehicles. Residents should also secure outdoor objects.

"Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects," the NWS warned. "Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result."
