Three 18-year-olds charged with shooting at deputies in Thermal (kesq.com) — A major criminal case tied to a Thermal shooting is moving through Indio’s Larson Justice Center, where three 18-year-olds face 25 felony counts, including attempted murder of deputies. No one was injured when shots were allegedly fired at responding officers, and investigators are still inviting tips from the public as the suspects remain in custody.

BigXthaPlug Signs to Sony Music Publishing (billboard.com) — Indio gets a brief spotlight as BigXthaPlug is slated to perform at the Stagecoach festival here in 2026, part of his expanding national profile. The Texas rapper just signed a global publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing and is launching a major tour after the deluxe release of his 2025 album.
