Calling All Ladies' Doubles Tennis Players
All registration fees for the Mercedes-Benz Dealer Championships will benefit Hillsides children's charity of Pasadena. The event is being held at Flint Canyon Tennis Club.
On Tuesday, May 21, ladies' doubles players will get the chance to raise their racquets for a good cause when they participate in the Mercedes-Benz Dealer Championships held at Flint Canyon Tennis Club.
All registration fees will be donated to Hillsides children’s charity, a premier provider dedicated to improving the overall well-being and functioning of vulnerable children, youth, and their families.
The Mercedes-Benz Dealer Championships, sponsored by the Rusnak/Arcadia Mercedes-Benz Dealership, is a nationwide, amateur-only tennis program for players 21 or older. Players will compete for one of two spots on the dealer team that will advance to the Sectional Tournament in Hawaii in the fall.

The tournament is open to women’s doubles teams with a combined USTA/Self-Rating of 8.5 level of play. The registration fee per player is $50. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the tournament gets underway at 10 a.m. Each player will receive an exclusive participant gift package. The tennis will be followed by a luncheon catered by the Scarlet Tea Room and Fine Dining. The event will also feature a silent auction, of which all proceeds will also benefit Hillsides.
“The money raised will go a long way in helping Hillsides create lasting change in the lives of children and their families,'' the charity’s chief executive officer, Joseph M. Costa, said in a prepared statement.
