Chris Erskine Guest Conducts the Burbank Philharmonic Orchestra

THE FREE CONCERT AT LANTERMAN AUDITORIUM WILL TAKE PLACE AT 8:00 PM. SAT. FEBRUARY 23. CONCERT WILL ALSO BE CONDUCTED BY STEVEN KERSTEIN

The Burbank Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Music Director and La Canada resident Steven Kerstein, will perform a special FREE concert on Saturday Evening, February 23, 2019 at 8:00 p.m. at Lanterman Auditorium in La Canada. The concert will feature La Canada resident and nationally known humor columnist and editor for the Los Angeles Times, Chris Erskine. Mr. Erskine will be guest conducting the orchestra at the beginning of the concert and then Maestro Kerstein will step in and conduct the remaining part of the evening which will feature music by Beethoven, Rossini, Mozart and Debussy.

The Burbank Philharmonic Orchestra, which is in its 29th year of performing in the Southland, is made up of the finest studio musicians who regularly perform for the motion picture industry in the Los Angeles area. The orchestra regularly features internationally-renowned soloists, including two that will be performing at this special concert, Soprano Esther Tonea and Harpist Alyssa Katahara. The concert will also feature these soloists performing in incredible gowns that have been created for this event by the senior class from the Fashion Design School at Woodbury University.
