Football: NFL, ABC/7 Honor St. Francis Coach

football coach Jim Bonds has been selected as an ABC7/NFL High School Coach of the Week for Southern California for the 2011 season, the National Football League, Rob Fukuzaki and the ABC7 Sports Department have announced.

Bonds will be honored on the Sports Zone show on Saturday following the College Football Game of the Week.

This award is presented to one coach each week throughout the season. The award honors those coaches who not only stand out because of their coaching on the field, but also for their efforts on behalf of the students, the school, and the community. The honor is based on nomination letters submitted by ABC7 viewers and school supporters.
