Police Investigate 2 Suspicious Circumstances Near PCR
School officials alerted parents to two incidents of unidentified males talking to students walking home from Palm Crest Elementary.

Crescenta Valley Sheriff's detectives are digging into two incidents in the last week of unidentified adult males talking to kids, and at least one where the male tried to lure the child into his car, authorities said.
Lt. Angela Shepherd said Monday that school officials sent out a bulletin to parents, letting them know that suspicious incidents had occurred recently near Palm Crest Elementary, one on June 3 and the other on June 7.
On June 3, at approximately 2 p.m. an unidentified adult male allegedly asked a student walking in the area of Palm Drive and Orchard Lane to help retrieve his dog from the street. The student did not get into the car. The bulletin described the car as a light colored late model Toyota Camry.
Then, on June 7 at about 3 p.m., two men approached a student walking home near Palm and Lombardy drives. The unidentified men allegedly offered the student a ride home and a bunny Pez dispenser, according to the bulletin. When the student refused, the males told the student they had an “X-Box.” This student also did not get into the car.
The vehicle was described as a white, four-door sedan with beige interior.
Shepherd said the school email was sent out so parents could remind their children never to get into a stranger's car, and to alert a parent or teacher as soon as something like this happens.
