Sheriff Lee Baca Dedicates CV Memorial (Photo)

Officers felled in the line of duty are honored by Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station memorial at Monday's ceremony.

They died in the line of duty, and they won't be forgotten: that was Los Angeles Sheriff Lee Baca's message Monday during the dedication of memorial.

Officers honored include Deputy David A. Horr, who was shot while handling a domestic dispute on Dec. 7, 1957, and later died from his wounds on Feb. 9, 1958, and Reserve Deputy Charles D. Rea, who drowned during rescue efforts in Big Tujunga Canyon floods on Jan. 26, 1969.
