Swimming: Spartans Start Strong at John Marrow/Beverly Hills Invitational

The La Canada boys and girls swim team had many top seed qualifiers at the John
Marrow/Beverly Hills Invitational Prelims this week.

Qualifying first in their events were Sarah Olson (50- and 100-yard freestyles), Katy Campbell (200-yard free) and Kenzie Heaton (100-yard breast).  The girls 200-yard freestyle relay team of Olson, Sammy Campbell, Katy Campbell and Heaton was also the top qualifier.

On the boys side, those qualifying in first were Christian Renfro (200-yard free), Garrett Chin (500-yard free) and Bo Mattix (100-yard backstroke). The 200-yard free relay of Matt Myers, Shane Chung, Mattix and Renfro also qualified first.

The Finals will be at Beverly Hills High School this Friday afternoon starting at 2:30 p.m.
