LAGUNA BEACH, CA — The City of Laguna Beach is giving the city's downtown area a makeover, after officials moved forward with a conceptual design for the Forest at Laguna Beach project.
The conceptual design was approved by members of the City Council and Planning Commission during Tuesday's meeting, after officials and residents heard a presentation from the Promenade on Forest Ad Hoc Committee.

The design, the committee said, draws inspiration from Laguna Beach's rich character and history and will serve as a multifaceted "living room" for residents and tourists.
