Entries Requested For Arbor Day Student Art Contest

The City of Laguna Beach's 5th annual Arbor Day Youth Art Contest is underway. Here's what to know about submitting this year.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Do you know a talented student artist with something to say about trees?

The 5th annual Arbor Day Youth Art Contest is underway, and Laguna Beach Unified School District students of all ages were encouraged to submit entries following this year's theme of "Trees Do A Lot For Me."

Entries can be a poem, picture or painting of any medium depicting an appreciation for all that trees do for the community. Size of the entry is limited to 8.5" by 11", the city said.

All entries will be accepted at the Susi Q Center front desk until March 1. Entries must include the child's name and parent's contact information, the city said.

Winners will be announced during the Arbor Day Event on March 6 at Aliso Beach Park. In addition, winners will have their art displayed in City Hall and win a food waste kitchen composter.
