Art Program Aimed at Girl Empowerment

The Power of Passion weekly program begins Thursday at the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach.

A program created to inspire young girls to embrace the arts begins this week in Laguna Beach.

The Power of Passion weekly program, offered to girls in the fifth-eighth grades, kicks-off Thursday from 5-6 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach in the Art Studio. The arts program was designed to introduce young girls to different art forms including theatre, singing, culinary arts and writing.

Created by four girls at Sage Hill School, POP is partnering for the second year in a row with the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach this fall to host the program.
