KelpFest 2025 Underway: Tidepool Tours, Mermaids And More In Laguna Beach

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — The annual KelpFest is less than a month away, and Laguna Beach residents were urged to save the date to be a part of this eco-friendly event.

The annual festival is held by the Laguna Ocean Foundation and features lives music by SeaView Serenaders, visits from the Huntington Beach Mermaids, ocean awareness education and more.

KelpFest 2025 will kick-off with a beach clean-up at Main Beach from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. For more information or to sign up for the clean-up, visit this website.

At 11:30 a.m. till 12:30 p.m., attendees will enjoy a tidepool tour at Heisler Park. Tour attendees will meet at Rivian South Coast Theater and walk to the park together.

Lastly, the Laguna Ocean Foundation will hold an "Algae Walk & Talk" experience from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees will learn about the different algae found on the coast of Laguna Beach.

KelpFest 2025 takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 7 at the Cobblestones of Main Beach.
