Laguna Beach Police To Add Horses To Patrol Units: Report

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Fundraising efforts are underway to add a mounted unit to the Laguna Beach Police Department, The Orange County Register reported.

The subject was approached by two Laguna Beach police corporals who inquired about the opportunity and possible benefits of adding the auxiliary unit to the department's command staff, the report said.

A recent fundraising event for the development of the mounted unit was well-attended, according to the report, with $70,000 raised for the department, the report said.
