Local Band Gets $2K Grant For Special Concerts, Community Performances

The grant was given by the Festival of Arts Foundation and will help provide crucial support for the upcoming concert season.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — The Laguna Community Concert Band received a $2,000 grant from the Festival of Arts Foundation to help provide crucial support for the band's upcoming concert season.

According to LCCB Treasurer Brad Balen, the grant will help fund community performances and special programming in Laguna Beach.

"We are deeply grateful to the FOA Foundation for their continued support, especially in a year when resources have been tight for everyone," Balen told Patch. "This grant will help us maintain and expand our musical outreach within Laguna Beach."

The band will embark on its 26th season this fall, with a slew of concerts and events already planned.

"Our concerts are about bringing the community together through music," LCCB Secretary Jay Kramer said. "Support from the FOA Foundation means we can continue providing high-quality concerts and exploring new collaborations in the community."
