Main Beach Debuts New Amenities In Laguna Beach

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Laguna Beach City officials and residents gathered this week to celebrate the completion of the Main Beach Park improvement project.

The project enhances one of the city's most well-used spaces with the following upgrades:

  • Modernized park features for improved accessibility and use.
  • New concrete sidewalks and refreshed lawn areas.
  • Updated landscaping and improved drainage.
  • Upgraded furnishings, including benches, lighting, trash bins and drinking fountains.
  • Improved irrigation system.
  • Electrical upgrades throughout the park.

Construction for the project started in January and was completed just before Memorial Day.

The City of Laguna Beach received $192,000 in grant funding from the State of California to help support the improvements. The total contract award was roughly $1.4 million, the city said.
