LAGUNA BEACH, CA — George Weiss is a long-time Laguna Beach resident seeking re-election as councilmember in the Laguna Beach City Council.
Weiss has lived in Laguna Beach for 20 years and originally ran for office in Laguna Beach in 2020. He is running against current City Councilmember Bob Whalen, as well as candidates Hallie Jones and Judie Mancuso.

10)Why are you seeking this office?
I am running for re-election for the same reason I ran in 2020, because I wanted to represent residents. Before 2020 Residents reported being treated in a dismissive or antagonistic manner by our City Council some Executive staff. I worked to change that, and today we have a more professional Executive City Team.
11)In your opinion, what are the top three issues for voters this election season?
Fiscal Responsibility, Transparency, Everyone must receive equal treatment.
12)What other issues do you intend to address if elected?
Overtourism resulting in lower Quality of Life for residents, Term limits, controlling growth of city staff, Implementing our Climate Action Plan (electrification).
