View 12-Foot Gingerbread Replica Of Iconic Laguna Building At Montage

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — A very special (and scented) art piece is on display at the Montage Laguna Beach.

To celebrate the city's vibrant history, Montage Laguna Beach's Executive Pastry Chef Lee Smith and his team have recreated the historic Laguna Beach Lifeguard Tower in a life-size, 12-feet-tall gingerbread replica of the iconic landmark.

The house took 120 hours to construct and used about 760 pounds of gingerbread, 220 pounds of royal icing and 20 pounds of confectioners sugar.

The recreation is on display at Montage Laguna Beach until late December, hotel officials said.
