Assemblywoman Laurie Davies To Hold E-Bike Safety Course In Dana Point

The electric bike safety course is a partnership between San Juan Capistrano, San Clemente and Dana Point.

DANA POINT, CA — State and local officials are teaming up to host an electric bike safety course this May to help keep the streets of Orange County safer during the long days of summer.

Assemblywoman Laurie Davies is hosting the safety course on May 14 in partnership with the cities of Dana Point, San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano. The free event will run from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Dana Hills High School.

Residents young and old will learn from Orange County Sheriff's Department and California Highway Patrol personnel about how to safely ride their e-bikes or regular bicycles on roads, trails and beaches, authorities said.

Law enforcement officials will also offer bicycle assessments and helmet checks.

The first 40 children to attend the event will receive a free set of bicyclists and a reflective braclete.
